Details of the procedure

Duration: The duration of the operation depends on the extent of the intervention; 1 to 3 hours on average.

Anesthesia: General or local anesthesia, depending on the scope of the operation and the surgeon's assessment. 

Rehabilitation: Swelling and bruising are common during the first few days.  The patient will need to make several post-operative visits to the clinic. 

Result: It is obvious in the first days when tampons and bandages are removed. The final shape of the nose is formed after the swelling has completely subsided, which takes up to 12 months or more. Improvement in respiratory function is usually felt immediately after removing the tampons.
